Georgian Hazelnut Producing Company Since 2018
Wondernut, established in December 2018, is present in two locations: Eniseli village, and Lagodekhi town. The area is well known for growing hazelnuts due to its fertile soil and amenable climate. Currently, total hazelnut orchard area in these villages exceeds 4,000 hectares and average yield equals more than 4,000 tons. We produce hazelnut on more than 120 hectares in Kakheti Region. We offer, the whole package of post-harvest handling services that envisages hazelnut cleaning, drying and storing using modern equipment.
Hazelnuts are among the most popular nut crops in Georgia and is major export agricultural commodity. Currently the majority of hazelnuts commercially produced in Georgia come from Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Guria, Imereti and Kakheti Regions. Hazelnuts play an important role in the Georgian agricultural sector. Georgia is the one of the largest producers of hazelnuts in the world – after Turkey, Italy, USA and Azerbaijan, meeting around 4-5% of worldwide demand.
