Georgian Hazelnut Producing Company Since 2018
Wondernut, established in December 2018, is present in two locations: Eniseli village, and Lagodekhi town. The area is well known for growing hazelnuts due to its fertile soil and amenable climate. Currently, total hazelnut orchard area in these villages exceeds 4,000 hectares and average yield equals more than 4,000 tons. We produce hazelnut on more than 120 hectares in Kakheti Region. We offer, the whole package of post-harvest handling services that envisages hazelnut cleaning, drying and storing using modern equipment.
Wondernut unites founders who have been in hazelnut production for 10+ years with common goal of further enhancing Georgia’s agricultural potential. One of the pillars of Wondernut's success is it's founders diversified experience in complex and high risk fields ranging from legal and legislative all the way to pharmaceutical, medical and infrastructure.

Hazelnuts play an important role in the Georgian agricultural sector. Georgia is the one of the largest producers of hazelnuts in the world – after Turkey, Italy, USA and Azerbaijan, meeting around 4-5% of worldwide demand.
With 20+ Years of legal expertise Dimitri has been advising and working for the number of local and internaitonal companies. He sat his foot in hazelnut sector in 2012 and since has acquired invaluable experience which contributed to Wondernut's current success. As in almost all businesses, Hazelnut possesses it's own specific types or risks. As CEO of Wondernut, Dimitri is heavily engaged in strategic planning and setting the most optimal course to ensure long term stability.
Wondernut's exports and international markets is under Sandro's oversight. Sandro has been managing procurement cycle of large projects in and out of Georgia for 15 + years. Throughout his 8-year tenure at the World Bank he has been instrumental in shaping the World Bank’s e- procurement reform in Georgia. In 2019, following departure from the World Bank, his career took a radical turn and following rigorous certification process Sandro became certified Nutrition Coach. Now, he helps people unlock the best version of themselves through habit-based nutrition coaching.
Mikheil is General Manager of Wondernut and is tasked with overseeing and managing entire process of Hazelnut production, starting with harvest , all the way through delivery to the Client, internally as well as oversees. Mikheil is vice-colonel with 12+ years of experience working in high risk projects under Ministry of Internal Affairs' Special State Protection Servie of Georgia. Hazelnut production process, possesse higher than normal risks, in terms of production and delivery. This is where Mikheil's past experience and exposure to high risk projects with extreme tight deadlines, ensures Wondernut's day to day activities are closely supervised with full adherence to international production and food safety standards.
