Georgian Hazelnut Production and Projects by Wondernut

Wondernut operates two drying and storing facility in two separate locations Village Eniseli and Lagodekhi Town. Both Projects have been co-financed by proceeds of Rural Development Agency of Georgia (RDA), through “Agro Processing and Storage Enterprises Project”, USAID through Georgia Hazelnut Improvement Project (G-HIP), European Union through Food and Agriculture Organization in the Framework of ENPARD III Project. Agri Georgia LLC (Ferrero), Georgian Budgetary Resources and Wondernut’s direct investment. These facilities are the largest inshell hazelnut producers in Kakheti. Through these facilities, we managed to close the gap, between local farmers and end users, and ensured sustainability of quality of Hazelnut. Both locations (Kvareli and Lagodekhi) represent major hazelnut producing area in Kakheti, therefore Wondernut, through it’s presence in two locations became a significant driver in the hazelnut value chain in Kakheti Region.

Wondernut offers two major varieties of hazelnut – Georgian endemic and European i.e. Giffoni.
